Bradford and Marsh are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle organisation based in Plymouth. This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy workshop environment, ideal for someone with experience working on HGV trucks who can confidently carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs to a high standard. You’ll be joining a professional and supportive team, with access to ongoing training, modern equipment, and excellent long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities in this role as a HGV Technician:
- Interpret instructions from job cards and carry out repairs in line with manufacturer standards
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV vehicles
- Accurately record all work completed, including any additional faults identified
- Attend training and stay up to date with the latest technical information
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Ensure all duties are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Support the reputation of the business through high-quality workmanship
- Follow all health & safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements for this HGV Technician role:
- City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Mechanics (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, ideally within a workshop or dealership environment
- Experience working with trucks or related sectors such as agricultural vehicles
- Strong attention to detail and diagnostic skills
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
