The successful applicant would be required to be highly adaptable and skilled in delivering differentiated, personalised curricula to a specific class promoting independence, communication and positive behaviour.

The applicant should be an enthusiastic professional who is passionate about SEND education and demonstrate a strong understanding of effective teaching, assessment and progress tracking within a special school setting. Experience of working with non-verbal students and knowledge of alternative communication methods, sensory processing needs, and behaviour as communication is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative and well-structured lessons across a broad curriculum.
  • Have a clear understanding of effective SEN pedagogy, student care, and support.
  • Be able to adapt teaching creatively to meet a diverse range of learning needs.

  • Engage with student EHCP targets to deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Lead and support a consistent team of Teaching Assistants within the classroom.
  • Build strong partnerships with families and external professionals.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers and ECTs. Successful candidates will receive personalised induction, access to CPD and opportunities to further their career.
