Bradfield College is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Swimming Instructor to support our busy Children’s Swimming Lesson Programme that takes place at weekends during the school term and some school holidays/half‑terms. The successful candidate will teach swimming lessons on a regular basis at weekend mornings (Saturday and/or Sunday) and also assist with ad hoc cover. The programme follows the Swim England ASA curriculum teaching from Ducklings to Stage 10.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver swimming lessons to children across all stages.
  • Assist with ad‑hoc coverage as needed.
  • Maintain high teaching standards in accordance with the Swim England ASA programme.

Qualifications

  • Level 1 & 2 Swimming Teachers’ Certificate.
  • National Rescue Award desirable but not essential.
  • Welcoming, flexible approach and ability to work well within a team.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication with young children and empathy in teaching.
  • Strong time‑keeping and organisation skills.
