Bradfield College is looking to recruit an experienced Groundsperson to support the Head of Grounds in the maintenance, conservation and enhancement of the grounds, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team. Working as part of the Grounds team, you will maintain and set up all outdoor sports areas including football pitches, cricket squares, athletics, netball, tennis, hockey, hard courts and all-weather surfaces. This will involve the setup and dismantling of sports equipment, as well as seasonal and weather dependent duties, including snow clearance and salting paths and roads. We are looking for a personable, trustworthy and reliable individual with experience of preparing summer and winter sports surfaces, both grass and hard. You will also need experience in using a variety of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment and the ability to undertake all aspects of grounds maintenance and the physical challenges this may involve. You will possess a full and relevant driving licence (including trailer entitlement), as well as an NVQ2 qualification (support for obtaining an NVQ3 will be provided). An IOSH Working Safely qualification would also be desirable, but training will be provided.
