About us: Bradfabs Ltd are one of the UK’s leading companies in supplying and installing staircases, balustrades, balconies & secondary steelwork. The Company has been trading for over 30 years and has built up an excellent reputation for producing a high standard of workmanship for commercial main contractors & private customers alike. Due to our continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced site fitter to join our team. We work on a wide variety of projects ranging from staircases, balustrades, balconies & canopies to pressure vessels & structural steelwork.

We are looking to hire an apprentice trained, time served, skilled fabricator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the fabrication industry. The candidate should be a hardworking individual who can work well as part of a team and also work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication / engineering drawings.
  • MIG and TIG welding.
  • Experience and knowledge of using the following equipment desired but not essential as training will be provided: Overhead crane, guillotine, press brake, radial arm drill, ban saw, punch.
  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Established company with strong orderbook and client relationships.
  • Company pension.
  • On-site parking.
  • Overtime.

Location: Bradford

Manager:
  • Liaise internally to ensure smooth running of each project.
  • Travelling throughout the country in company vans to customer sites, installing architectural metalwork; project installs can range from staircases, steelwork to balustrade.
  • Site project can include but not exhausted to welding, erection and installation.
  • Required to work away from home overnight as and when required.
  • Work to timescales set out by the company.
  • Ensure all jobs are completed in a tidy and professional manner, and to the very highest of standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with office regarding projects.
  • Welding on site to company procedures and coding.
  • Competent in reading and understanding CAD drawings.
  • Be able to use own initiative when it comes to problem solving.
  • Have understanding of health and safety issues and regulations.
  • Have a flexible approach to out of hours working.
  • Good time keeping.
  • Quality checks.
  • Complete/adhered to RAMS for each project.
  • Works to QMS procedures to ensure quality throughout for ISO 2015.
