Role
As a Community Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals within their own homes.
Every visit is an opportunity to make a real difference, helping people remain independent whilst receiving the support they need with dignity and respect.
You will work as part of a supportive, professional team delivering care tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences and lifestyle.
This is a full-time contracted position, with work across
- Morning shifts
- Lunchtime visits
- Tea time & Evening shifts
- Emergency cover calls where required
Guaranteed contracted hours are available for successful applicants.

Where possible, care rounds are allocated geographically to minimise travel time and support a positive work-life balance.
As Bradcare continues to grow, opportunities may be available across additional areas within South Derbyshire and neighbouring communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Supporting mobility, transfers and safe movement around the home
- Assisting with medication administration in accordance with training and company procedures
- Preparing meals and supporting nutrition and hydration
- Providing companionship and meaningful social interaction
- Supporting individuals living with dementia and other complex care needs
- Carrying out light housekeeping and domestic duties
- Maintaining accurate electronic care records in accordance with GDPR requirements
- Reporting safeguarding concerns or changes in wellbeing promptly
- Delivering care in line with individual care plans and Bradcare's quality standards

Requirements

- A Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Female applicants only (genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010)
- Right to work in the UK
- Availability to work a mixture of mornings, lunchtimes, evenings and emergency cover calls
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, dependable and professional approach
- A genuine passion for helping people live independently and with dignity
Previous care experience is welcomed but not essential.
