What difference will you make?

Being a Trustee of Bradbury Fields is a hugely rewarding role. Our culture and specialisms set us apart: many staff and volunteers are visually impaired. New Trustees will learn about visual impairment, the inequalities in access to mainstream services and the impact of those barriers on our beneficiaries and service users.

What are we looking for?

  • We are looking for several new Trustees to join the Board. We’d specifically like to attract people with experience in:
  • Income generation and fundraising
  • Communications and marketing
  • Finance
  • Ability to understand and accept the duties and liabilities of being a Charity Trustee
  • Strong leadership to achieve the vision, mission and aims of Bradbury Fields
  • A willingness and ability to devote the necessary time and effort

What will you be doing?

  • Commitment and governance oversight in line with Trustee duties
  • Understanding and accepting the duties and liabilities of being a Charity Trustee
  • Providing strong leadership to achieve Bradbury Fields’ aims
  • A willingness and ability to devote the necessary time and effort
  • Helping to formulate strategic, business and partnership plans
  • Guiding and consulting on strategy, governance and finance
  • Ongoing assessment of the charity\’s legal integrity
  • Promoting the charity\’s work and reputation among contacts
  • Championing equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, analyse management information, and apply evidence
  • Willingness to listen, learn and communicate clearly
  • Ability to influence, engage and work effectively in a group
