The Pines Primary School is a vibrant 1-form entry primary school with a Nursery and a 20-place specialist resource provision. We have children from a wide range of backgrounds and also have an above national % for pupils with SEND. We are proud of what we do to make a difference to the lives of children and their families. We use an approach of continuous provision in EYFS and KS1 as we believe in the importance of learning through play. We have also recently introduced OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) into our lunchtimes.

The successful candidate will join a team who are passionate about engaging and inspiring young people in their learning. You will need to be committed, have a sense of humour and have boundless energy. The school is located in the Hanworth estate which is on the outskirts of Bracknell town and is within very easy access of many amenities. We have on-site parking and are on a bus route within 20mins of the town centre. We also have a local shop within walking distance of the school.

We need a Teaching Assistant who:

  • Is willing to learn.
  • Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting and children with SEND is desirable.
  • Can provide tailored support for children under the guidance of our team, enabling children to access the curriculum.
  • Has a willingness to be flexible, no day will be the same.
  • Is able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Is calm, patient and empathetic.
  • Has the ability to work in a team.

Start date: September 1st 2026.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm, 32.5hrs per week, term time only plus 3 days.

Bracknell Grade J: SCP3 – SCP6 - £24,796 - £25,989 + London Weighting pro rata. Actual Salary: approx. £13.22 – £13.84 per hour – pending April 2026 pay award.
