Overview
We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant with passion and empathy for working with children who require support with their social, emotional, and mental health and a nurturing approach to support children to engage in learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working with children with SEND, to make a genuine difference and be part of shaping lives within our community.
Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to deliver a trauma and attachment-informed approach, our strong SLT and Inclusion Team will support the successful candidate and training will be provided if required.
Responsibilities

- Support children to engage in learning and maximise their potential.
- Assist children with social, emotional, and mental health issues.
- Apply de‑escalation strategies and maintain positive behaviour expectations.
- Build strong working relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and staff.
Qualifications
- Level 2 and 3 trained practitioner.
- Highly motivated, creative and resourceful.
- Deep commitment to supporting individuals with social, emotional, and mental health issues.
- Experienced in supporting young people with complex emotional and developmental needs.
- Confident with de‑escalation strategies.
- Passionate about education and committed to a trauma‑informed approach.
- Committed to ensuring all children reach their potential and develop self‑belief.
