We are currently looking to recruit an Admin Assistant to work in our school office to cover Maternity Leave here at Crowthorne C of E Primary School, a one-form entry primary school with 210 pupils aged 4 to 11. We would be interested in receiving applications from candidates who would like to join our friendly, caring and supportive team. We are proud of the positive ethos in our school and of everything we offer to our school community, inspiring all to live life to the full and achieve all they are able to. We were graded Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in February 2025 and have a culture of continual improvement. There is an ethos of mutual support and encouragement amongst staff.
Hours are term time only, 19hrs per week plus two INSET days. Hours to be agreed with successful candidate but an ability to start at 8:30am at least 3 days per week is desired. BG J 3-6 - £12.45-£13.05 per hour + London Fringe Weighting (Dependent on experience).
The ideal candidate will:
- Have excellent organisational skills and be proficient in the use of IT (including Microsoft applications).
- Be a hard-working individual who works well in a team and is able to communicate effectively in person, on the phone and in writing.
- Be able to manage competing demands, prioritise effectively and thrive in a busy school office environment.
- Have prior experience of working in an administrative role, ideally with some experience of procurement processes.
- Engage positively with our children as well as the adults connected to the school, supporting our school vision and ethos.
- Have a good standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
Due to this being a temporary role, someone who is able to ‘hit the ground running’ as a result of existing experience would be advantageous.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed - Our School Ambassadors regularly conduct guided tours. You will find our children polite, hard-working and well-behaved. They enjoy their learning and are, understandably, very proud of their school.
