Our Housing Led Officers play a vital role in helping people who are experiencing homelessness to build stable, independent futures. Through intensive, flexible and person-centred support, you will work alongside individuals with complex needs to establish and sustain tenancies, access essential services and progress towards long-term, permanent accommodation. Alongside providing practical and emotional support, the role carries important assessment, safeguarding and decision-making responsibilities. This will include assessing risks and accommodation suitability, maintaining detailed case records and regularly reviewing customer progress.

About you... As a Housing Led Officer, you will be a proactive and compassionate individual able to provide intensive, person-centred support to customers with multiple and complex needs. You will help customers establish and sustain tenancies, build independence, access specialist services and work towards long-term, stable accommodation. You will manage a small caseload and work proactively with customers, often within their own homes, to assess their needs and risks, develop personalised support and resettlement plans, and build the practical skills needed to successfully manage a home.

About the team... Based at Time Square in Bracknell, you will join a supportive, collaborative and experienced Housing team where no two days are the same. We value open communication, teamwork and professional judgement, working closely across Housing and with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for customers.

Key responsibilities...

  • Provide flexible, person-centred support to homeless customers with multiple and complex needs who are being accepted into the Housing-Led Service.
  • Manage a small caseload, providing intensive and ongoing support for up to two years to help customers establish and sustain their tenancy and progress towards permanent accommodation.
  • Deliver support within customers’ homes and the community, tailored to individual needs and aspirations.
  • Work assertively with customers around treatment and other support needs, promoting choice, independence and long-term tenancy sustainment.

28 days annual leave increasing to 33 days after 3 years’ continuous service, with the opportunity to buy up to 10 and sell up to 5 days.
