Join our friendly and supportive team where you will have a key role ensuring our candidates have a positive recruitment experience and supporting our recruiting managers. This role is a 12-month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave.
As one of the recruitment officers, you will provide advice and support to managers across the recruitment lifecycle from creating engaging job adverts to onboarding successful candidates. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your recruitment experience to support us to recruit people into roles that make a real difference to our community.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you work from our Bracknell town centre office one to two days per week, alongside flexible working arrangements.
About You...
You will have experience of working in a recruitment environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team. You will be well organised, adaptable and confident managing competing priorities, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing a high‑quality service. You will have strong written communication skills, including experience creating or advising on recruitment advertising, with the ability to produce engaging, inclusive and candidate‑focused job adverts. Experience of onboarding processes, including right to work and pre‑employment checks and processing new starters onto a payroll system, is essential.

Key responsibilities...
- Act as the first point of contact for recruitment and resourcing enquiries, providing professional advice and guidance to managers and candidates on recruitment processes, policies and best practice, including advising on recruitment advertising and candidate attraction strategies.
- Support recruiting managers to produce engaging, inclusive and effective job adverts, ensuring content is clear, accessible and designed to attract high‑quality candidates.
- Provide a coordinated recruitment support service, working collaboratively with colleagues within the Resources team.
- Manage a range of recruitment campaigns and initiatives that help the council attract and appoint the skills and talent it needs.
- Work collaboratively with communications colleagues to promote vacancies and recruitment initiatives.
- Maintain and produce accurate recruitment and resourcing data to support decision‑making and service improvement.
