About you
We are looking for an organised and motivated Groundsperson to join our small and caring team. In this role, you will appreciate the importance of compassion and sensitivity, helping us provide a respectful and comforting environment for those who are grieving.
You will ideally have experience working within the grounds of a cemetery or crematorium and possess strong knowledge of rose care, pruning, planting, grass cutting, weeding, hedge trimming, litter picking and the use and maintenance of ride‑on mowers and other tools, machinery and equipment.
As part of our dedicated team, you will play a key role in ensuring the cemetery and crematorium grounds are maintained to the highest standards, creating a peaceful and respectful environment for visitors. We are looking for someone who is self‑motivated, committed and brings excellent communication skills and a strong team spirit.

Key responsibilities
As a Groundsperson, you will be responsible for:
- cutting grass, hedges and shrubs
- plant management, care and maintenance including weed spraying
- border care and maintenance, including digging and planting
- general ground management including sweeping, pressure washing and litter picking
- watering and management of beds and baskets
