We now have a position for a MOT Tester who is NVQ level 3 Qualified (or equivalent) and must be a time-served Vehicle Technician with a good understanding of modern vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to carry out MOT Tests, vehicle servicing, fault finding diagnosis, and understanding of live data.
  • Carry out various mechanical repairs including timing belts, timing chains, clutches, air-conditioning, tyres, wheel alignment, etc.
  • Welding skills and being an MOT Tester will be an advantage.

In return, we will offer a career development plan for the right candidate to enhance their diagnostic skills and ability, along with sponsorship towards their MOT qualification if desired. Depending on experience and ability, we offer a good salary package from £25,000 to £32,000 per annum plus overtime and a bonus structure that could see the right candidate earning in excess of £34,000 OTE.

Working hours are 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday and every other Saturday 08:30 to 13:00.

We are a mainstream independent garage with a good local reputation and a high customer satisfaction rate. We are affiliated with some of the major motoring organisations like The AA, RAC, RMI, Trust My Garage, Trading Standards, etc. We have invested heavily in diagnostic equipment and special tools to enable us to work on modern vehicles with ease, including dealer level (Auto Logic), Snap-On Verus, Launch, VAG Com, 4 Channel scope meter, Diagnostic Master Technician Technical Support helpline, and Autodata.
