Brackendale is a boutique PR and marketing agency working for high profile clients mostly within the European private equity sector. The PE industry is a hugely influential and dynamic market, and we work with some of the smartest and most ambitious business leaders globally. At Brackendale we pride ourselves not only on our deep relationships with clients and our media contacts, but also on our ideas, enthusiasm and professionalism. As a small business with ambitious growth plans, there will certainly be the opportunity for the right candidate to rise to a higher level of responsibility and reward than would be expected with our larger competitors. As well as traditional media campaigns, we offer a range of other services to our clients including copy writing, graphic design and presentation training. Having brought on some exciting new PR clients, we are now looking to grow our team with the addition of a bright and hardworking PR & Marketing Associate. This role will be a hybrid of working from our London office in Victoria and from home. We are a small team who works collaboratively on varied and challenging projects for international clients.
Responsibilities
- Working as part of an account team and, in time, becoming sole PR lead where you’ll plan, develop and implement PR strategies.
- Building strong relationships and networks with colleagues, clients and journalists, and answering enquiries from the media and other organisations.
- Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for our clients.
- Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media.
- Sitting in on press interviews (either via Teams or in person).
- Collating and analysing media coverage.
- Posting on social media (usually LinkedIn) on behalf of Brackendale and our clients and engaging with users on our account.
- Building your awareness of industry events and liaising with organisers to find sponsorship and/or speaking opportunities for our clients.
- Undertaking research for new business proposals and in time helping pitch to potential new clients either in person or over Teams.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, including effective writing skills.
- Drive, competence and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Creativity and initiative.
- Business and finance awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs.
- Comfortable with talking to people on the phone and in person.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks as and when necessary.
- Educated to a degree level (desirable).
- Previous PR experience (desirable).
- Languages: French, German or Spanish (desirable).
The role
- 40 hours per week.
- Salary dependent on experience.
