We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Walsall to assist with the appointment of a Youth Coordinator, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Youth Co-ordinator to support the delivery of youth engagement, employability, and skills initiatives across Walsall. Working within the Skills and Employment Service, you will help connect young people aged 14–29 with education, training, employment, apprenticeships, work placements, and other positive opportunities. The role focuses on developing partnerships, coordinating youth programmes, engaging with young people, and building relationships with employers, education providers, and community organisations to improve outcomes for young people across the borough.
Responsibilities:
- Map and review local and regional youth opportunities, identifying gaps and areas for development.
- Coordinate and promote youth programmes, pathways, work placements, apprenticeships, and training opportunities.
- Engage directly with young people to understand their needs and support progression into positive destinations.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, training providers, employers, DWP, community organisations, and internal council services.
- Support the development and maintenance of youth information and engagement platforms.
Qualifications:
- Degree-level qualification or significant relevant equivalent experience.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience delivering projects or programmes within skills, employment, education, or youth-focused services.
- Experience working in partnership with multiple stakeholders and agencies.
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
- Understanding of local authority funding, monitoring, contract, and financial procedures.
- Ability to analyse data and use information to support decision-making.
- Experience producing reports, action plans, and presenting information to stakeholders.
Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at short notice. You should have the right to work in the U.K. This role requires a Basic DBS.
