We are working closely alongside a local authority in Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Senior Case Manager on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The Senior Housing Case Manager ensures the Tenancy and Estates Team effectively prioritises and manages caseloads, responding to housing-related enquiries and actions with a high degree of professional oversight. You will act as a senior technical resource, supporting Tenancy Officers with complex casework, ensuring all interactions are recorded accurately on the Open Housing System, and leading on the continuous improvement of policies and procedures to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the quality of work delivered by the team through regular checks and 'on-patch' time, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- Personally manage complex housing cases, including Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Stage 1 complaints, ensuring resolution within statutory timeframes.
- Oversee the termination period of tenancies and ensure new tenancies are monitored and documented correctly.
- Collaborate with Health & Safety and Compliance teams to ensure good practice is adhered to and data is provided promptly.
- Champion safeguarding practices, ensuring the team identifies and acts upon risks to vulnerable tenants.
Essentials:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C/4-9) including English and Maths, or NVQ Level 4 equivalent.
- CIH Level 4 qualification (or evidence of working towards completion).
- Significant relevant experience within housing, local authority, or registered providers.
- Proven experience dealing with the general public and vulnerable customers in a frontline customer service environment.
- Experience maintaining accurate statistical information and managing complex administrative records.
