You will manage complex caseloads, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to improve outcomes for children. This role focuses on both high-level safeguarding/court work and specific Child in Need (CiN) interventions, working alongside adult practitioners to tackle the "toxic trio" of domestic abuse, substance misuse, and mental health within the family unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake high-quality, timely assessments, including parenting assessments, to create outcome-focused care plans.
  • Lead on both private and public law care proceedings, including drafting statements, giving evidence, and ensuring all work is completed within strict court timescales.
  • Identify, analyze, and respond to complex risks, ensuring all interventions are clearly evidenced and analyzed within the child's digital record.
  • For Child in Need (CiN) vacancies, work closely with adult practitioners (specializing in mental health, recovery, and domestic abuse) to provide holistic support to families.
  • Actively contribute to your Pod, engaging in group supervision and supporting colleagues to optimize team performance.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work (BA, BSc, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.

Essentials:

  • Minimum of 3 years PQE in a permanent social care setting (statutory frontline).
  • Proven experience in managing Child Protection cases, Public Law Outline (PLO), and complex Child in Need plans.
  • Demonstrable experience in the Family Court system, with a track record of achieving permanency for children.
  • Must be a valid car driver with access to a vehicle for home visits and meetings.

Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at short notice. You should have the right to work in the U.K. This role requires an Enhanced DBS.
