Job Description:
We are working closely with local authority in Newcastle-Under-Lyme to assist with the appointment of a Customer Hub Officer, on a 2-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.85- £16.23 per hour
Summary:
Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Hub Officer to support the delivery of the Council's One Front Door approach by providing a seamless, high-quality customer service across a broad range of council services. The postholder will manage customer enquiries through multiple channels, process Council Tax and Housing-related transactions, and ensure customers receive accurate advice and timely resolutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance across a range of council services, with particular focus on Council Tax and Housing-related enquiries.
- Process customer correspondence and documentation using the NEC Image document management system.
- Signpost customers to appropriate internal departments and external partner organisations where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, Data Protection legislation, and Council Information Governance policies.
- Process incoming documentation and maintain electronic records.
- Contribute to achieving service standards, performance targets, and customer satisfaction objectives
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
Essentials:
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience using NEC Revenues and Benefits Live (RBLive).
- Experience using the NEC Image Document Management System.
- Experience processing administrative transactions accurately.
- A full UK driving license
