Overview

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wirral MBC to assist with the appointment of a Specialist Business Support Officer, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.81 – £16.33 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality administrative support, including scheduling, minute-taking, and managing communications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems (paper and electronic).
  • Coordinate recruitment processes including DBS checks, references, interview logistics, and induction planning.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, safeguarding, data protection, and financial audit requirements.
  • Support financial planning and monitoring by maintaining detailed financial records.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent in relevant subjects including Business Administration.
  • Numeracy and literacy qualifications (GCSE level or equivalent).

Experience

  • Proven experience in business administration roles.
  • Experience with financial systems, reporting, and procurement processes.
  • Diary management and event/meeting coordination.
  • Working with various databases and information systems.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
  • You should have right to work in UK
