We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Slough to assist with the appointment of a Customer Service Advisor, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The Customer Service Advisor will provide a high-quality, customer-focused service to learners, staff, partners, and potential customers. You will act as the first point of contact for enquiries, support learner enrolment processes, undertake a range of administrative duties, and contribute to projects that promote lifelong learning services across the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries via telephone, email, letter, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Provide information and advice on learning opportunities and signpost learners to appropriate services and providers.
  • Deliver a professional reception service at community learning centres and other venues as required.
  • Support learner enrolment processes, ensuring accurate completion of forms, fee collection, receipt issuance, and data entry.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records using Management Information Systems (MIS) and other databases.
  • Support tutors and managers with administrative tasks and learner liaison activities.

Qualification:

  • 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C / 4-9) or equivalent qualifications.

Essentials:

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience working within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
