We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Shropshire to assist with the appointment of a Technical Compliance Officer, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The Technical Compliance Officer – Fire Safety will play a key role in supporting fire safety remediation works and ensuring compliance across the Council's property portfolio. The postholder will assist in addressing issues identified through fire risk assessments, implementing corrective actions, and supporting the development of robust fire safety compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Support fire safety remediation works across the Council's property portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.
- Assist in resolving issues identified through fire risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
- Support benchmarking activities to maintain and improve fire safety standards across the estate.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of fire safety compliance frameworks.
- Liaise with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams regarding fire safety matters.
Qualification: Relevant qualification in Fire Safety, Building Compliance, Construction, Building Surveying, or related discipline.
Essentials:
- Experience supporting fire safety compliance within property or estates environments.
- Knowledge of fire safety legislation, regulations, and best practice guidance.
- Experience interpreting fire risk assessments and coordinating remedial actions.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise workloads effectively.
