We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Shropshire to assist with the appointment of a Revenues Manager, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: A senior leadership role responsible for managing the Revenues service, including Council Tax, Business Rates, and income collection. The role focuses on ensuring efficient billing, maximising collection rates, maintaining compliance with legislation, and delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Revenues team, ensuring high performance and service delivery
- Oversee billing, collection, and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Monitor and improve collection rates and income performance
- Manage recovery processes, including enforcement and legal action
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Revenues services (Council Tax and/or Business Rates)
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and recovery processes
- Proven experience managing teams and delivering high-performing services
- Experience in income collection, billing, and enforcement processes
- Strong financial awareness and budget management experience
