We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Shropshire to assist with the appointment of a Procurement Consultant, on a 4-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

The Procurement Consultant role is mainly working alongside technical subject matter experts. The successful candidates will lead and manage end-to-end procurement exercises, delivering compliant, commercially robust and value-driven outcomes across a varied portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead pre-market engagement activities.
- Advise stakeholders on appropriate routes to market.
- Develop procurement strategies and support governance approvals.
- Support the development of procurement documentation.
- Act as a critical friend during specification development.
- Design commercial models and pricing schedules.
Essentials:
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end procurement projects.
- Strong understanding of UK public sector procurement regulations and best practice.
- Experience using eTendering platforms such as Delta or Mercell.
- Strong commercial awareness and procurement strategy development experience.
- Experience working collaboratively with technical and operational teams.
