Overview

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a School Technician, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client\’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £19.00 – £25.04 per Hour

Summary

To support IT infrastructure in Camden schools, including responding to customer requests, resolving technical issues, and managing service requests all while maintaining a strong customer service ethos and ensuring service quality for the Schools IT Support Service and wider Council.

Responsibilities

  • Attend school and council sites to complete customer requests.
  • Provide second-line IT support (installation and maintenance of system software, data management, office automation, and utility software).
  • Meet or exceed SLA targets for service delivery.
  • Support specialist areas: networks, servers, information security, and web solutions.
  • Deliver services both remotely and on-site, maintaining data integrity.
  • Manage relationships with Head Teachers, ICT coordinators, and internal teams.
  • Maintain change control documentation and configuration management records.

Requirements

  • BSc in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable: previous school-based IT support.
  • Strong understanding of IT/IS infrastructure, operating systems, configurations, and applications.
  • Familiar with incident management tools and SLA/OLA principles.
  • Awareness of risk management, business continuity, and compliance standards.
