Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Rugby to assist with the appointment of a Housing Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: Β£17.18 - Β£22.54 per hour

Summary:

As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a comprehensive housing management service to the Council's tenants, ensuring high standards of customer service and tenancy management. You will work collaboratively with tenants, internal teams, and external agencies to sustain tenancies, resolve housing issues, manage anti-social behaviour cases, and contribute to the delivery of the Council's Housing Strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an effective housing management service for general needs tenancies.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support to tenants and members of the public through home visits, office interviews, telephone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Support new tenants during their settling-in period, including completing tenancy visits.
  • Investigate and process housing management requests including tenancy transfers, mutual exchanges, successions, and tenancy reviews.
  • Manage tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour, neighbour disputes, and prepare evidence for legal proceedings where required.
  • Work with internal departments and partner agencies to sustain tenancies and coordinate support packages for vulnerable tenants.

Essentials:

  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience within a customer-focused housing, tenancy management, or related environment.
  • Full current UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience delivering housing management or tenancy management services.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience managing tenancy issues, anti-social behaviour, and complex customer cases.

  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires a Basic DBS
