We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Minute Taker, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.90 - £18.08 per hour

Summary: The Minute Taker will provide high-quality minute-taking and administrative support for Children, Young People and Families statutory meetings, including strategy meetings and other safeguarding-related discussions. The role requires the ability to accurately summarise complex and sensitive information into clear, concise, non-verbatim minutes within strict departmental timescales.

Responsibilities:

  • Take accurate, non-verbatim minutes for strategy meetings and other CYP statutory meetings.
  • Summarise discussions clearly and produce high-quality documents within departmental timescales.
  • Support Independent Chairs in creating and updating written child protection plans.
  • Assist in preparing abridged versions of plans for young people and family members where required.
  • Accurately record attendance details and contact information during meetings.
  • Ensure confidential and secure handling of sensitive information and documentation.

Qualification:

  • GCSEs A*–C (9–4) or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience in business support or administration.

Essentials:

  • Previous experience of minute-taking and note-taking in professional settings.
  • Strong administrative experience and understanding of office procedures.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to identify key discussion points and summarise information accurately.

Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at short notice. You should have the right to work in the U.K. This role requires a Basic DBS.
