We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a HR Consultant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: We are seeking an experienced HR Consultant to provide professional HR advice and support across a broad range of employee matters. This role will support managers with general HR queries, organisational change initiatives, restructures, TUPE processes, and employee relations casework. The successful candidate will also contribute to policy development and implementation while ensuring best practice and compliance with employment legislation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of people management issues.
- Support organisational change projects, including restructures and TUPE transfers.
- Act as HR Advisor on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management cases.
- Advise and support Chairs during formal hearings and appeals.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies, and best practice.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Member of CIPD, or CIPD Level 5 qualification with evidence of working towards full CIPD membership.
Essentials:
- Significant experience providing HR advisory support across a broad range of HR disciplines.
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence matters.
- Experience supporting organisational change, restructures, and TUPE processes.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience advising managers and senior stakeholders on people management issues.
