We are working closely with a local authority in Newport to assist with the appointment of a Youth Training Tutor, on a 4-month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The Youth Training Tutor will contribute to the design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of commissioned youth training programmes, providing high-quality and engaging learning opportunities that support young people to achieve positive educational, personal and employment outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and relevant learning programmes appropriate to the needs of young people and programme requirements.
- Plan learning and assessment activities with individual learners, taking account of their abilities, needs, aspirations and development goals.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage achievement and continuous development.
- Conduct learner induction, including welcoming and meeting learners, completing eligibility documentation and delivering structured induction sessions.
- Complete learner reviews and ensure programme outcomes are monitored and recorded accurately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
- Relevant teaching or training qualification such as PTLLS, PGCE or equivalent.
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council.
Essentials:
- Relevant occupational experience and technical competence in delivering educational or vocational pathways.
- Experience of planning, delivering and assessing learning programmes for young people.
- Experience of working with vulnerable learners and young people with complex or challenging needs.
- Experience of managing challenging behaviour in an educational or training environment.
Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at short notice. You should have the right to work in the U.K. This role requires an Enhanced DBS.
