Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Charnwood to assist with the appointment of a Senior Ecologist, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: Β£44.43 - Β£59.00 per hour
Summary:
A Senior Ecologist is required to provide specialist ecology advice and support the Council's Facilities & Environment services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert ecology advice across Council services and projects
- Support the delivery of ecological and environmental objectives
- Provide specialist guidance on biodiversity and nature conservation matters
- Advise on ecological requirements, assessments and relevant legislation
Essential Requirements:
- Professional experience in ecology/environmental management
- Strong knowledge of ecology, biodiversity and nature conservation
- Understanding of relevant environmental legislation and guidance
- Ability to provide clear, professional ecological advice
