We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary:

Camden Facilities Management is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer with a strong commercial plumbing and mechanical background. You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault-finding and minor installation works across schools, children's centres, community buildings and corporate properties. A key part of the role will be mentoring a plumbing apprentice for approximately three days per week, providing practical guidance, demonstrating safe working practices and supporting their technical development.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive plumbing and mechanical maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair faults across commercial plumbing, heating and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, calorifiers, booster sets and valves.
  • Maintain domestic hot and cold-water systems.
  • Service TMVs and support water hygiene/Legionella control activities.

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.

Essentials:

  • Substantial experience in commercial plumbing and mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience maintaining heating systems, pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels and calorifiers.
  • Proven experience in both PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working independently in occupied/public buildings.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Must be willing and able to mentor a plumbing apprentice.
  • Comfortable using CAFM systems, tablets or mobile devices to record work accurately.
