Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Ground worker, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: Β£22.52 - Β£29.70 per hour
Summary:
A Ground Worker is required to carry out installation, repairs and maintenance of street furniture and public realm infrastructure across highways, parks, open spaces and housing-managed land.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out excavation and groundworks.
- Install lamp columns, posts, bollards, feeder pillars and street furniture.
- Carry out planned and responsive repairs.
- Operate relevant tools, plant and equipment.
- Read and interpret site drawings and specifications.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous Ground Worker / Groundworks experience.
- Experience with excavation and installation work.
- Ability to use tools, plant and equipment.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings.
- Good understanding of health & safety.
- Physically fit for manual and outdoor work.
