We are working closely with a local authority in Powys to assist with the appointment of a Transformation Manager, on a 13-month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The Transformation Manager will lead and manage the strategic transformation programmes within Adult Care and Support Services, driving sustainable change and service improvement across Powys County Council's Adult Social Care provision. The Transformation Manager will champion innovation, embed programme management methodologies, establish effective governance arrangements, and support the redesign of services to meet future demands. The role requires strategic leadership, the ability to influence across organisational boundaries, and a commitment to co-production and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure transformation initiatives contribute to improved outcomes for adults receiving care and support.
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple transformation projects across Adult Services.
  • Support teams throughout the change lifecycle by providing guidance, documentation, and practical support.
  • Prepare and present programme reports to Programme Boards, Senior Management Teams, and other governance forums.
  • Secure programme funding through formal bid processes where appropriate.

Qualifications: Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification and/or relevant experience.

Essentials:

  • Significant experience managing and delivering complex transformation programmes or projects.
  • Proven programme and project management experience.
  • Excellent understanding of programme and project management methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of transformation and change management principles.
