Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Heating Engineer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: Β£20.88 - Β£29.00 per hour

Summary:

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking an experienced Heating Engineer to carry out predominantly boiler installation work across the Council's housing stock and corporate properties. The role also involves gas safety checks, heating repairs and maintenance in both void and occupied properties, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with required standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out boiler and heating system installations across the Council's housing stock and corporate properties.
  • Undertake gas safety checks, heating repairs and maintenance in void and occupied properties.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs to heating systems and appliances.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant gas safety regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
  • Complete work orders, reports, gas safety certificates and other required documentation accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant gas engineering qualifications and accreditations, including CCN1, CPA1, CKR1, CENWAT1, MET1, HTR1, Range Cooker and Unvented Hot Water.
  • Current Gas Safe registration.

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid full UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites.
  • Proven experience in boiler and heating installations, repairs and maintenance.
  • Current Gas Safe registration with the relevant qualifications and accreditations.
  • Good knowledge of gas safety legislation, regulations and safe working practices.
  • Ability to complete work orders, reports and certification accurately.
