Job Description:
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Knowsley to assist with the appointment of a Team Manager-Children's, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £27.00 - £35.82 per hour
Summary:
The Team Manager will provide strong supervision, professional guidance and oversight to practitioners, including ASYEs, supporting them to develop their confidence, knowledge and practice. The role will oversee care planning and statutory reviews, complex assessments and interventions, safeguarding and risk management, placement stability and partnership working.
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective professional leadership and management to a team of children's social workers and practitioners.
- Provide clear direction, support and professional oversight to team members.
- Monitor workload, performance, case progression and statutory timescales.
- Support ASYEs and less experienced practitioners to develop their confidence, knowledge and professional skills.
Qualifications
- Recognised Social Work qualification.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualification experience in children's social care.
Essentials
- Significant experience working with cared for/looked after children and young people.
- Experience undertaking safeguarding work with children and families.
- Experience undertaking complex assessments and interventions.

- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
