We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a HR Project Officer, on a 3‑month contract, highly likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay: £24.12 - £32.22 per hour.

Summary

The HR Project Officer will support the delivery of key HR and workforce projects aligned to the Councils workforce strategy. The role sits within the Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement Team and involves managing HR‑related projects, conducting research, analysing data, and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage HR programmes of work aligned to business needs and workforce strategy.
  • Manage project delivery, ensuring outputs remain within agreed scope, timescales and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and key stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
  • Identify, manage and elevate project risks, issues and dependencies as required.
  • Analyse people‑related data and provide meaningful insights and reports.
  • Undertake systematic research to support complex workforce programmes.

Qualification

CIPD qualified or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience. Project Management qualification or equivalent experience of applying project management disciplines.

Essentials

  • Proven experience planning and delivering HR projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Experience undertaking HR project work to meet organisational needs.
