We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bath and North East Somerset to assist with the appointment of a HR Operations Officer, on a 3.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: Β£14.68 β Β£19.14 per hour
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Operations Officer to deliver a high-quality, responsive HR service across the Council. Acting as the first point of contact for all HR Operations enquiries, you will provide accurate and proactive support to managers and staff, ensuring seamless HR processes and an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from employees, managers, and stakeholders
- Provide guidance and practical advice on recruitment processes, onboarding, and HR policies
- Support and coach managers in drafting high-quality job advertisements
- Maintain accurate employee and recruitment records using the new Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Ensure timely advertisement and processing of vacancies using internal and external platforms, including social media.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in HR or recruitment services within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated use of onboarding systems and recruitment workflows, with ability to troubleshoot and improve processes.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including managing data for recruitment and HR tracking
- Familiarity with HR databases or applicant tracking systems (e.g., TalentLink, iTrent, SAP, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple competing deadlines.
