We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Thurrock to assist with the appointment of a Customer Finance Assistant, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The Customer Finance Assistant will support the Customer Finance Team by managing customer enquiries relating to Adult Social Care charging, processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and respond to all incoming email enquiries received by the Customer Finance Team.
- Handle Homecare and Residential Care charging enquiries via email and telephone.
- Monitor and maintain generic team inboxes, ensuring enquiries are actioned within agreed timescales.
- Calculate invoices, financial adjustments, and charges accurately using the relevant finance systems.
- Liaise with colleagues across Adult Social Care to resolve customer queries promptly and efficiently.
- Support service users by explaining the Adult Social Care charging process and how charges may affect them.
Qualification: Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
Essentials:
- Previous experience in a customer service, finance, or administrative role.
- Experience handling high volumes of emails and telephone enquiries.
- Good numerical skills with the ability to calculate invoices and financial adjustments accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
