Summary: We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to provide proactive, solution-focused financial support and advice across the organisation. Working closely with service managers and senior stakeholders, you will contribute to financial sustainability, support strategic decision-making, and help ensure resources are allocated effectively to deliver value for money and positive outcomes for residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable, timely, and professional financial advice and support to service areas.
- Support budget management, financial planning, forecasting, and monitoring activities.
- Interpret and analyse complex financial and management information to support decision-making.
- Assist in delivering the Council's financial sustainability and resilience objectives.
- Contribute to demand modelling, financial forecasting, and service planning activities.
Qualifications:
- Formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA) or equivalent professional knowledge gained through significant finance experience.
Essentials:
- Significant experience working within a finance or financial management environment.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, data analysis, pivot tables, lookups, and reporting.
- Experience interpreting complex financial information and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and with external partners.
