We are working closely with a local authority in Solihull Metropolitan to assist with the appointment of a Family Team Worker , on a 3 -months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.

Rate of Pay : Β£13.47- Β£17.75 per hour

Summary:

The Family Time Worker is responsible for facilitating, supervising and supporting Family Time arrangements between children and young people and their parents, birth families or significant family members. The role ensures that Family Time is delivered safely, consistently and in accordance with the child's care plan and Family Time arrangements, with the child's welfare and safety remaining paramount.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Family Time for children subject to care proceedings and children who are looked after.
  • Ensure Family Time is delivered in accordance with the child's care plan and agreed Family Time plan.
  • Compile accurate written observations and reports regarding the quality and nature of Family Time.
  • Record observations of parent and child interactions to support parenting assessments undertaken by qualified Social Workers.
  • Undertake other appropriate duties consistent with the responsibilities of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience working with children and families.
  • Valid driving licence and ability to provide access to a suitable vehicle for work purposes, as the role is an essential car user post.

Essentials:

  • Experience of working with children, young people and/or families in a professional setting.
  • Experience of supporting children and families where there may be complex needs or challenging circumstances.
  • Experience of observing and recording interactions between children and adults.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
