We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Knowsley to assist with the appointment of a Family First Case Manager, on a 3.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £16.50 – £21.70 per Hour

Summary:

As a Family First Case Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering multi-agency interventions using a whole-family approach to reduce risk and help families thrive. This role is aligned with the national Supporting Families programme and focuses on early intervention to avoid escalation to statutory services.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Early Help Assessments and develop clear, outcome-focused action plans.
  • Organise and chair Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings to coordinate multi-agency input.
  • Develop and review SMART plans (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) with families to monitor progress and outcomes.
  • Undertake home visits and direct work with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ensure all interventions are safeguarding-focused and comply with safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Early Years, Family Support, or similar field (Level 3 or above preferred).

Experience Required:

  • Strong experience in safeguarding children and working with families with multiple/complex needs.
  • Experience completing Early Help Assessments and leading multi-agency planning.
  • Proven ability to engage and work directly with children, young people, and families.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing effective action plans and recording case notes.

  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
