Overview We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in City of Westminster to assist with the appointment of an Environmental Health Officer , on a 3-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay £28.68 – 37.85 per hourSummary Westminster City Council is seeking two experienced Environmental Health Officer to join the Environmental Health Consultation Team. The role focuses on a targeted project inspecting high-risk special treatment premises, specifically those providing laser and IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments, to ensure compliance with health and safety and hygiene regulations.Responsibilities Carry out health and safety inspections of licensed premises offering laser and IPL treatmentsAssess compliance with hygiene standards, machinery safety, operational procedures, and documentationIdentify non-compliance and take proportionate enforcement action in line with council policiesProvide professional advice and guidance to businesses to improve safety standardsPrepare accurate inspection reports and maintain evidence for enforcement proceedingsEscalate risks appropriately and contribute to protecting public healthQualifications Degree or Diploma in Environmental HealthEssentials Proven experience in local authority health and safety enforcementKnowledge of massage and special treatment premises regulationsAbility to work independently within the communityStrong risk assessment and decision-making skillsExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skillsAdditional Requirements You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.You should have right to work in U.KDisclaimer Brackenberry Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
