We are working closely alongside a local authority in Central Bedfordshire to assist with the appointment of a Maintenance Coordinator on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The Maintenance Coordinator is a varied and customer-focused role essential to the management of over 5,000 Council-owned homes. You will act as a central link between residents, internal stakeholders, and trade teams. Your primary objective is to ensure that repairs are diagnosed correctly, scheduled efficiently, and tracked through to successful completion, providing an exemplary service experience for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and diagnose repair requirements for council-owned dwellings based on reports from residents and stakeholders across multiple platforms.
- Manage the lifecycle of resident repair requests from initial diagnosis and scheduling through to job completion, ensuring adherence to Council policies.
- Monitor open work orders, identify and resolve duplicate entries, and ensure orders are closed promptly upon completion to maintain data integrity.
- Provide excellent customer service by keeping residents proactively informed regarding the status and progress of their repairs.
Essentials:
- Experience in a customer-facing role where providing 'exemplary service' was a key performance indicator.
- Experience in administrative or clerical roles involving data entry, scheduling, or case management.
- High level of proficiency in IT systems and experience with telephony systems.
- Prior experience or knowledge of Housing Maintenance Services is preferred but not essential.
