We are working closely with local authority in Carmarthenshire to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Assistant, on a 2-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The Business Support Assistant will provide efficient and professional administrative support to childcare, fostering, and adoption teams to ensure the effective delivery of services for children, young people, families, carers, and professionals. Working within a fast-paced office environment, the post holder will undertake a broad range of administrative and clerical duties, including minute taking, record management, correspondence handling, and general business support.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake day-to-day office administration including filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, document preparation, and correspondence management.
- Organise meetings, appointments, reviews, and service-related events, including booking rooms and arranging schedules.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, safeguarding, and information governance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Good standard of education including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Essentials:
- Experience working in an administrative, clerical, or office support environment.
- Experience undertaking minute taking and preparing accurate meeting records.
- Experience using databases, electronic filing systems, and office software packages.
Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at short notice. You should have the right to work in the U.K. This role requires a Basic DBS.
