We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Mobile Responder, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £14.13 - £18.30 per hour
Summary: The Mobile Responder will be part of the Telecare service, providing an efficient, reliable, and compassionate response to emergency alarm calls from vulnerable and elderly individuals. This role involves responding to urgent situations, delivering practical support, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of service users.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency and priority alarm calls from customers
- Provide on-site assistance and practical support to vulnerable and elderly individuals
- Liaise with control centre, emergency services, next of kin, and care agencies
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of visits and incidents
- Conduct routine visits to sheltered housing schemes when required
- Install, test, and maintain telecare equipment including alarm units and pendants
Qualification: Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics
Essentials:
- Experience in a customer-focused or care-related environment
- Ability to handle emergency and sensitive situations calmly and effectively
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good IT skills and ability to use digital systems and devices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
