We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Weighbridge Operator, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary: The HR Advisor will operate within a business partnering model, providing professional HR advice, guidance, and challenge to frontline managers across a full range of employment matters. The role involves supporting case management, employee relations, organisational change programmes, policy development, and workforce planning while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to managers on employment matters, policies, and procedures.
- Support managers in handling disciplinary, grievance, performance, ill-health, capability, redundancy, and attendance management cases.
- Coach and develop managers to strengthen people management skills and support sound business-led decision making.
- Advise on employment legislation and associated risks, providing practical solutions and recommendations.
- Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures, service redesigns, and TUPE transfers.
- Liaise with Trade Unions and maintain positive employee relations.
Qualification:
- A-Level qualification or equivalent.
Essentials:
- Demonstrable HR experience within a generalist advisory role.
- Experience supporting managers with disciplinary, grievance, performance, ill-health, redundancy, and change management cases.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience analysing HR data and producing meaningful management information.
- Understanding of Trade Union relationships and employee relations processes.
