Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Telford and Wrekin to assist with the appointment of an Assistive Technology Officer, on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £16.97 - £22.22 per hour

Summary:

Support the delivery and implementation of Assistive Technology and Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services across Telford & Wrekin. Work closely with Adult Social Care teams to assess needs, recommend and install technology solutions, and promote independence, safety, and wellbeing for adults and older people.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess adults and older people with complex needs and recommend suitable assistive technology solutions.
  • Support the implementation and delivery of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services.
  • Carry out Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions relating to assistive technology.
  • Act as a Decision Maker for individuals who lack capacity regarding TEC provisions.
  • Install, demonstrate, and provide guidance on assistive technology equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Occupational Therapy, Assistive Technology, or equivalent experience.

Essentials:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
  • Knowledge of Assistive Technology and Technology Enabled Care (TEC).
  • Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Best Interest Decision processes.
  • Experience completing assessments and supporting adults with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation for adults and children.
  • Understanding of the Care Act and its application in practice.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
