We are working closely with a local authority in Bromsgrove District and Redditch to assist with the appointment of a Plumber, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.
The Plumber is responsible for delivering a responsive, high-quality repairs and maintenance service across the Council's housing stock and other Council-owned properties.
The role involves diagnosing plumbing faults, carrying out repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and "right first time." The postholder will provide excellent customer service, maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, and contribute to the effective maintenance of Council assets.
- Carry out plumbing repairs, installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis across Council housing, void properties, communal areas, and other Council buildings.
- Complete work in accordance with current building regulations, water regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Diagnose plumbing faults accurately and complete repairs efficiently to minimise repeat visits.
- Keep customers informed of repair progress, delays, and completion of work.
- Participate in emergency call-out, standby, or out-of-hours services where required.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing or a recognised plumbing trade qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good understanding of current plumbing regulations, building regulations, and Health & Safety legislation.
