We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Yorkshire to assist with the appointment of a Construction Supervisor, on a 5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee building maintenance, highways, and capital project operations across North Yorkshire. The role involves supervising operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day delivery of construction, highways, and maintenance works
  • Manage operatives, subcontractors, materials, plant, and labour resources
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Carry out site inspections, inductions, and safety checks
  • Develop and maintain Health & Safety plans and risk controls

Requirements:

  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
  • CSCS Managers Card
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • CITB Managers & Professionals Health, Safety & Environment Test
  • Proven experience within construction, highways, civil engineering, or property maintenance
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across North Yorkshire
