We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bexley to assist with the appointment of a Head of FM and Capital Projects, on a 6.5‐month contract, highly likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Experienced Facilities Management professional required to lead and oversee FM operations across Council properties and partner services. The role focuses on compliance, contract management, maintenance programmes, asset management, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and efficiently maintained while delivering high‐quality services and value for money.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Council's Facilities Management strategy and operations.
- Oversee building management, maintenance, compliance, and lifecycle repairs.
- Ensure all Council properties meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage FM contracts, procurement, and contractor performance.
- Lead on energy efficiency and net carbon zero initiatives.
- Develop and deliver property inspection and maintenance programmes.
- Degree in Facilities Management or a similar discipline.
- CIWFM or equivalent professional accreditation.
- PRINCE2 or other Project Management qualification.
- Extensive Facilities Management experience within a complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and property legislation.
- Experience managing FM contracts and contractor performance.
- Experience overseeing maintenance and asset management programmes.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
